Learning soccer

Lonya and Sergey are both showing some aptitude for soccer. They can both dribble and shoot, but they like best trying to steal the ball from others. Here's one shot of both of them with the coach.

Two Big Boys

I had to leave this latest flurry of blog photos with two of my favorite shots of the guys. Lonya is standing with Fletcher, best friend, confidante, and ball player extraordinaire. Sergey is up on the local Sheriff's horse, with the Sheriff's hat. We happened by Sheriff Dana as he was standing in the rodeo parade staging area, and he whipped Sergey up onto the horse for a photo.

First Day of Kindergarten

The first day of big school was an exciting event. After dropping Sery off at preschool, we took Lonya to Lincoln Elementary and stayed for the first 30 minutes or so of class. That is Lonya you can see right up front listening to the teacher. She seems just great. As of last Tuesday's Open House at school, September 25, Lonya's teacher had nothing but positive things to say about how he's doing in school.

Preschool graduation

Lonya, the big 5 year old, had to say goodbye to his pre-school. You can see him and his brother all dressed up for the graduation ceremony. Sergey, who is in the same preschool and really looks up to Lonya, was quite sad that he wouldn't be seeing his brother every day. But the ceremony was fun. Lonya and his fellow graduates sang a couple very nice songs for the parents and relatives gathered to celebrate the occasion. Sergey is counting down the days till he gets to graduate (since he is 3, he'll be counting a long time!).
