Visit to Chicago

In mid-January, Candace took the boys to see Grandma and Uncle Jeff in Chicago. Despite single-digit temperatures and below-zero wind chill, we managed to have a fun time in the windy city. We went to the aquarium, the park, and the world's largest McDonald's restaurant. There was even a bonus when Cousin Ella's family, the Collinses, came into town to see their little cousins. We all went out to the Children's Museum and had a blast.
Now it is back to the snowy landscape of Ellensburg.

Santa Came!

So, what could be more fun than opening stockings and playing with toys on Christmas morning! Watching the kids open their stockings and play with toys Christmas morning! The boys were very excited about their presents, and about the whole process of opening things. Sergey turned out to be a total natural at driving his little bumper car around, and Lonya is quite the little entrepreneur now with his toy cash register. They also especially liked Sergey's scooter, Lonya's big building materials, and many other assorted items, including their light sabers, which enable them to fight off bad guys. Lest we worry they are too materialistic, I can add that Lonya has decided that when he is grown up, he's going to give lots of money away to poor people. That, and be a policeman. Sergey wants to be a power ranger.
