Beach time

The boys got to see the Pacific Ocean and the beach when we rented a house for 4 days in Moclips on the Washington shores. It is just South of the Olympic National Park, and the beach stretches for miles of beautiful sand. The boys had a total blast running with the dogs and chasing seagulls. Lonya loved building roads and castles; Sergey loved running in the little streams and knocking down castles. The boys also proved very interested in beachcombing and we came back with bags of shells. Fletcher and Gil got their first vacation since the boys joined us, and they had to be washed off most days before being allowed in the cabin. We even managed some swimming in the heated resort pool down the road. Top it off with evenings watching Disney movies, and you have a pretty fine vacation. Next year we'll add kites and campfires!
